Diabetes Management for Disability Support

This comprehensive course is designed to equip disability support workers with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to provide effective diabetes management. Participants will gain an understanding of the types of diabetes, the principles of blood glucose monitoring, and best practices for supporting individuals with diabetes. The course emphasises the importance of diet, exercise, medication management, and recognising and responding to diabetes-related emergencies to ensure the safety, health, and well-being of individuals with diabetes.
