First Aid for Parents and Carers

As a Parent or Carer of a young child there is so much you are expected to know. Our online First Aid for Parents and Carers course offers participants the change to update or refresh their knowledge on some of the most common childhood illnesses or medical issues.

This course is a must for all new parents and covers off important topics such as:

  • Resuscitation Theory

  • Choking Management

  • Asthma Management

  • Anaphylaxis Management

  • Bleeding Control

  • Burns First Aid

  • Head Injuries in Child

It also covers common childhood challenges such as:

  • RSV

  • Conjunctivitis

  • Hand, Foot and Mouth

  • Croup

  • Dehydration

  • Childhood Rashes

  • Fever in Children

  • Signs of serious illness in children

The course is made up of a series of short 5 to 10 minute tutorial videos. We understand that Parents and Carers are time poor so this course is designed to be completed in little bursts. Once you enrol you will have ongoing access to go back and review the information as you never know when you may need to update your knowledge.

This courses is non-accredited and does not lead to a nationally recognised outcome however it does give you huge amounts of valuable knowledge.
